Development Project ...
As a growing fellowship we have been aware for some time that there are restrictions on the activities we can provide as a result of the age, size and configuration of our current building. It has served the church very well for 50 years but the decision was made and planning permission obtained to further develop the church site.
The contracts have now been signed and the first phase of building works has begun. The new building will comprise of a new 250 seat main hall to be used for worship and teaching events. When that is complete and funds are available, phase 2, a suite of new smaller meeting rooms, will be added. The existing building will remain and be refurbished to be used for other outreach and community activities. The church is meeting the challenge of raising the funds which are currently costed at approximately £350k for each phase.
The plans are on display in the church and we are very happy to share with any who would want to consider helping us achieve these goals.
