Operation Christmas Child - 2011 Shoe Box campaign
A record number of shoe boxes were filled with toys, hats, sweets etc by members of WRBC this year. 160 boxes were picked up from the church on Monday 21 November by volunteers and taken to the local warehouse ready for distribution to needy children in Serbia.
Valentine's Evening - 14 February 2011
For many couples, Valentine’s Day is something that rather passes them by and the relevance is only a few memories from the past! However that all changed for around 50 couples who attended a wonderful evening celebrating love and marriage on Monday 14 February at WRBC.
Hosts for the evening were marriage course facilitators, Duncan & Janice MacInnes who have been involved with running marriage and marriage preparation courses for the last eight years. The evening featured romantic film clips, amusing stories, short films, interviews, a feature on The Marriage Course and a fashion parade of wedding dresses through the decades. Modelled by young women from the church, there were a great selection of dresses ranging from recent times right back to one from 1949.
At the interval there was a splendid selection of canapés and cakes, many in heart shapes. Romantic music, red balloons and subdued lighting all made for the right atmosphere. “It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves and our new building provided the perfect venue” said Janice.
Pastor David Adams closed the evening by giving a blessing for the marriages of guests attending. Above is a photograph of the wedding dresses.

Photo of Witard Road Baptist Church's recent visit to Israel stepping into Jesus' footsteps. From Galilee in the north to the Dead Sea in the south. A wonderful time was had especially in Jerusalem.

Urban Saints Sunday - 5 April 2009
The service included a presentation of certificates and badges to the young people of the Urban Saints and the re-enactment of the crucifixion. The service was led by our Youth Coordinator Jenny Robinson and church leader David Robinson.
